My personal story regarding skin cancer:

I’ve lived all of my adult life, with the knowledge of the dangers of skin cancer. Sadly though, I’ve ignored these dangers, tempting fate over and over again, by exposing my fair skin to the sun’s harsh rays …

I’m paying the price now, for ignoring the warnings, with quite a few skin cancers appearing. And as well as my casual responses previously to possible skin cancer (that is, by basically ignoring it), I’ve had the further issue that my previous medication for helping with my chronic illness of Multiple Sclerosis (MS), being complicit in that it probably led to more skin cancers than I may have had if I wasn’t taking it …

So my General Practitioner (GP) and I have been keeping an eye on my skin, with a combination of Cryotherapy, and some excisions. The freezing off of small skin cancers seems to work well enough, with the minor surgical excisions taking care of the worst of the skin cancers seems to be working.

But now, I’ve stopped taking that medication that may have been causing me to get more skin cancers than I may have had if I hadn’t been on it, and I’ve noticed a lessening of such cancers appearing. I’m off to see my GP this afternoon, and it will be interesting to see whether he agrees with me on this.
