Dog Person, Who Appreciates Cats
Yes, I’m a dog person, there has never been any doubt about that, but I’ve had cats in my life too, and I am curious about and intrigued by cats.
Missy has lived with other dogs in her life, as I have, but she has never lived with a cat. In fact Missy seems to have apppointed herself the chief cat scare-off officer. She will bark and bark at any cat that dares to venture onto our/her property.
I’m OK with that, I’d rather cats stayed away from our place too, I think. Cat pee & poop stink, and I’m happier if cats keep their toileting activities to their own place! Missy has got a bit up close and far too personal with one of the intruding cats we sometimes have — she almost caught one as it jumped out of our dog run, and into another part of our place …
That cat escsped, but I wonder whether Missy had damaged that cat, because I still see a cat which I think may be the same one, and it limps … I’m sorry if it was Missy that caused that limp, but if the cat hadn’t tresspassed, it wouldn’t have been injured by Missy and her jaws.
But other people’s cats? I love hearing stories about them! And if I see a cat at someone else’s place, that lives there, I’m always happy if that cat comes up to me asking for a pat. The soft fur of a cat is a luxurious fur, lovely to pat, and so warm!
