Exercises For Fumble-Fingered, Falling-Over Forgetful Folk

As a person with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), I certainly meet the need for these exercises! I drop things easily, I forget things often, and I fall over far more often than most people do.

So far my worst fall was when I broke my ankle, but I’ve sprained my wrist, and have incurred a great many bruises, cuts, and scrapes in my painful falls as well …

And if I didn’t have, and use, the calendar on my phone, I would forget to attend even the most important things, I suspect. The best thing I got for myself last year was a diary, but I’m so forgetful, I haven’t managed to remember to buy myself a new diary!

The fumble -fingered thing happens most when I’m outside, hanging out the washing. Those pegs, it’s almost like they leap out of my hands onto the ground! But instead of getting upset about this, I look on it as an opportunity to do a little exercise!

Back in 2010, when my new neurologist told me to ‘Use it or lose it’, he was referring to my walking ability, and I’ve certainly upped the amount of walking I do, so that I will be able to go on walking whenever I want or need to! I don’t want to end up…
