FIGS — Fruits of my mind …

I am interested in Stoicism, and I like to think about things, and share my thoughts with others. These are some of my thoughts that have come to me today, when thinking about figs, then other things

  • When the time is right, there will be plenty for all that want it
  • In lean times, those who can pay, can have what they want
  • In those lean times though, wise ones accept the change
  • Learning the truth of the seasons will lead to greater wisdom
  • Most things are better, when they are in their best season
  • Figs tell ultimate truths — Listen to the fig tree, and know …
  • Fresh fruit, dried fruit, one luscious, one sweet, both good
  • When the season says not yet, learn to wait, & be rewarded
  • Rewards come in many forms, but aren’t always obvious
  • Knowledge rewards deep thought, eludes ignorant grasping
  • Ideas thought on before action occurs, beat unconsidered ones
  • Knowing and doing, two different things, only one bears fruit …
  • One day, things will be grand? Not just one, every day is grand!
  • Figs give good when eaten, thought of previous seasons feed on-one
