Getting My Hair Cut Today. I Love the Cut, But Why Do I Always Leave It So Long Between Trims?

My hair is an OK colour, (sort of honey hued, light to mid brown) and has natural wave to it, so if I were to jazz it up with a bit of product, I could get a great look. And these days, as I’m “maturing” I’m getting some lovely silver highlights!

Others may call them grey hairs, but silver is so much nicer than boring old grey, isn’t it? Anyway, the picture below is how my hair looked a while back, before getting it cut, and I’ll post the photo I took today, after arriving home from the salon …

So looking OK, but with hair on my forehead and liable to blow all around my face, when outside … photo taked my Mallala Lions’s Club member at event

You can’t see the grey/silver ‘highlights’ in that photo, but I know they’re there! As you can see, my hair has a wave to it, which I like, but it doesn’t have an real style to it, it just flops around …

But now, I’ve had my hair cut, and it looks much more ‘styled’. Just a small bit of ‘product’ and some scrunching with my hands will almost (or actually) give me curls, not just bit of a wave — you’ll see that in the next image.

As an older woman (turning 62 in April this year), who doesn’t have lots of money to spend (or just doesn’t want to spend) on my hair, this new cut gives me so many more options while also dealing with the things about my hair I don’t like — I really don’t like floppy hair on my face!
