How To Start The New Year Well!

I don’t actually know the proper way to do that for everybody, I only know a small fraction of people who write here on Medium, and while I feel I’m building up a friendship of sorts with one of those people, the rest? Not so much.

And I’m not the kind of millennial who is happily out to midnight and beyond on New Years Eve, celebrating the year that was and the one to come. Or just celebrating, whatever …

I’m not an actual millennial at all, to tell the truth. I’m so far from being a millennial, that my child only just one, he’s nearly too old to be that.

So the idea that I, or someone of my age, would have any real idea about how to start the New Year well is probably not particularly likely person to consult with on such a subject … Ah well, if seemed like an interesting topic idea.

And the reality is that even though I’m no longer a young person and haven’t been what anyone else is likely to name as young, unless that person was so old, they still remember the Second World War like it wasn’t that long ago.

But I do have some ideas about how I, and people of my age might like to begin the year, and that is quietly! I actually went out last night — New Years Eve and I and my husband went out, wow, just like those youngsters do!

We didn’t go to a New Years Eve party though, boozing and dancing into the year to come. We actually went to a cricket game a Big Bash League game in fact … Those of you who don’t come from Australia and…
