I Am Not A Trained Visual Artist, But Am Enjoying Playing with Drawing!

As a writer, with an interest in possibly having children’s books published, the idea of being an illustrator and doing that part os such books, as well as the words is of interest to me.

But my drawing abilities are totally untrained, and I don’t have much faith in my abilities at being able to draw anything much at all really. Although, having written that, I do have a very old folder with images I drew when I was at school, and some of that is far from awful.

In fact some are so good I wonder, did I actually draw them, or were they the work of some other student, a school friend perhaps? I can’t find out the answer to that, but seeing as how I have them, I suppose I may well have been the one who drew them.

Anyway, I’ve been journaling this month, doing it every day, in response to prompts given every morning, on a Facebook page. This being done by a woman I know, and she was hoping perhaps ten people may be involved.

It turned out 89 of us responed, so on the given day, and every day after, until we get to 28 days, there will be a new prompt for each of us to see what we may write in our journals.

I’d never really done much journaling before, although I’ve often thought I’d like to. And I actually bought myself a journal last year, but had written practically nothing in it.

Now though, I’m finding this process compelling, and I’m not only wrtiting page after…
