Is Adding More Two More Greyhounds To The Household, A Good Idea, Or Not?
As it turns out, whether or not it was a good idea is irrelevant because they were coming whether we liked it or not …
These two Greyhounds belong to our son, and his wife, and my husband and I, as well as our own Greyhound, Lenny, had already met our son’s dogs, and they seemed fine.
All of the dogs get on well together, or well enough, it seemed. Our son had decided to have his house demolished and then build a new home on his property, a home that would have plenty of room for him and the Greyhounds, and his wife.
The fact that our home is smaller in terms of indoor space didn’ t factor in to the discussions, in fact, I’m not entirely sure there were any discussions about it all. It was more our son telling us what he was doing, and us saying Oh, OK.
So our son is now living at his uncle’s place (my brother), and Sharon and Cooper are now living with us. There was some early mention of son and daughter-in-law visiting us often, to see the dogs, and parents/parent-in-laws, but that isn’t happening anywhere near as often as I thought had been mentioned.
Ah well. These young folk do things differently these days, I’m sure I never would have sprung something suddenly on my parents as a fait accompli. Oh, except for…
