Is My Head On Straight? Yes, It’s Fine, Just Keep On Going!

3 min readSep 18, 2024

Sometimes life gets so full-on you can hardly remember where you’re supposed to be, and when! That of course is why you may have a mobile phone with a calendar, to write stuff down so you’re always were you should be, when you should be there …

It’s a great little theory, but many a theory gets shot down when human frailties get involved. One such fraility, which I am prone to, is forgetting to set a timer, to have a sound and a message remind me of something that needs doing. No timer or message, nothing happens, or at least not the proper thing so it doesn’t get done.

I also often, no I’ll be kind to myself, and say I ‘sometimes’ not ‘often’, anyway, I sometimes just forget to look at my phone, or it’s somewhere else being charged up again, so if it went off, I wasn’t there to be reminded of anything at all, that may have been an awful thing …

The truth is, I don’t have anything going on in my life that’s a life or death kind of thing, fortunately. Sure, every time I head out driving could be the last time, with the accident statistics there to prove that to be a possible cause of death for me. I drive more kilometres than most, especially people who live in the city or suburbs, who may not drive in a week, as much as I do on some days.
