Like An Unwatered Plant …
Letting go is wiser than refusing to let go
As the plant that dried out from a lack of water will fade and may die off, from lack of water, so too a person may have their life fade and friendships, ideas, projects die off from lack of nurturing,
If a plan of yours is given toxic feedback, rather than nurturing waters of praise, or at least thanks for your efforts to get something going, then please don’t cling to the one who wronged you, if you have thought about it and find it to be true.
Letting go of the toxic response is the best way to go, holding on to it can only poison you further, and you will be the one who dries up, no longer able move away from the hurt, and move on to newer, betting things.
Throwing up your hands and retreating, declaring you don’t want to work at it again, whatever that thing was, that won’t be of help either. While there is life in a relationship, or plan, or project, then it is worthwhile ‘watering it’, with love, or good deeds, ideas, and interest.
Things can happen in life, bad things, unexpected things, and if you focus only on the bad, and neglect the good things that are there in your life as well, you may dry up, and never, ever get to the place in your life you most want and need to get too.
