My First Story To Be Chosen For Distribution
--
I don’t know how much difference this might mean to my numbers of people connencting with my writing, but I admit to feeling a bit chuffed to have seen that the article I posted earlier today has been chosen for this ‘lofty’ position.
I’m happy about this for sure, and it will be lovely for this to happen much more often. I don’t know whether or why this happened today, but it just adds another thing to make today a lovely day!
It’s winter, the end of the season, and we’ve sure had some cold and wet winter days this year. But today was a lovely day, and my husband and I went for a walk in a lovely spot in a town we both know quite well, Gawler.
It’s where a river area has been made lovely and accessable, with good car parking, toilet facilities, and good paths through many areas alongside the river. We saw people taking their dog/s for a long walk, and families with children. We even saw someone with their cat on a lead!
And I heard the sound of a bird I’m sure all Australians know the call of, the Kookaburra! I knew this bird was at this park, I’ve heard it mentioned previously, but I’ve never been there and heard them, even though I have heard them elsewhere in Gawler.
And another wonderful bird thing to add to this wonderfulness of today — as we were walking, I noticed a movement on the path ahead of us, and on looking more closely, saw there were two tiny little Fairy Wrens, a little bird with blue feathers, as well as buff colouring as well. I love seeing birds in their natural habitat!
What delights might tomorrow bring, I wonder? Whatever it is, I’ll be keeping my eyes wide open to see it!
