People Are Dying, But Not Only From Effects Of This Pandemic
While Westerners are facing these effects, and doing their best to guard themselves from the danger that lurks in the Covid Virus, there are many non-Westerners facing another danger, that of the oceans rising, flooding their island homes, and causing terrible weather events, from Climate Change.
In my country of Australia, we have been having unusual events too, with bush fires of extreme levels, as well as flooding events as well, in different areas. The flooding on the eastern side of the country, and the bush fires to the western side.
These events have the potential for causing deaths, for a variety of reasons, drowning, being burnt being the main ones. But we are being cooped up at the moment, and some people are reacting badly about it, getting angry and lashing out at those who don’t deserve that anger.
At the moment, Australia has floods on the North Eastern end, and bushfire on the South Western end, frightening events, which makes me wish Mother Nature would settle down, and send the flooding rains over the desert, to put out the terrible fires.
This is shocking news, for sure, but it is a reminder that there is so much more going on in our world than only Covid, constantly. And while we are rightly trying to overcome this Covid crisis, there are other…
