Finding inspiration in a variety of situations, and turning bad over, into better times …

I have good and caring relationships both with family and with friends. My husband of many years is supportive of me, as I am to him, as needed. Our son is a fine young man, sensible, intelligent, and caring. He is a respected member of his various ‘communities’ and I am immensely proud of him, as he has moved from child, into adulthood.

My friends are mostly, but not all writing related companions, intelligent, varied in age, religious beliefs, life experiences, and so on, but still friends who care about me, as I care about them. Some of us meet every Thursday at a hotel in Gawler, where we write, listen to what others have written, and talk about things, some writing related, some not so much. But of course everything in life and beyond is possible inspiration for writing …

When good goes bad …

But I have other friends, too, not friends met through writing, as such, but friends met through connection to a particular cafe, where I spent happy and fruitful time, until things took a wrong turn, and being there became not an option for me. Well not quite true, I have been back to this particular venue a few times since the big ‘event’ happened, but I made sure I was there with…
