Up and Down, Give and Take — Talking About My Weight

When a person is trying to lose weight, it can be a frustrating thing, at times. Their weight may not go down when they were expecting it to, and then it can suddenly head down to where you’re wanting it to go.

I’ve had about half a year of watching this happen, recording what my weight ins, every morning at around the same time. It’s been a useful thing, seeing the truth of what both eating and exercise do to my weight.

Today I had a welcome lower weight (only 300 grams lower than yesterday, but lower is lower, and I’m glad of that). I was expecting my weight may have either stayed the same, or gone up a little bit.

I am currently almost right in the middle of my ideal weight range, according to the Australian Government Department of Health https://www.health.gov.au/health-topics/overweight-and-obesity/about.

And according to that website there are many reasons why being at your ideal weight for your height is a good and healthy thing. You are more likely to live longer than an overweight person is the best one from my point of view, I love living!

So my weight is good as of today, and I have the knowledge to keep at that level, if I maintain my focus on how I got to this point, and what I must do to keep there. This isn’t rocket science! The truth is that many people are overweight, or even obese, but they think that isn’t a problem.
