We Don’t All Want Or Need The Same Things
At the moment, I’m trying to attain a particular weight, and had a bit of a setback this morning, with a weigh-in result higher than I was expecting.
My weight is actually within my ‘ideal weight range’ I just want it to be closer to the middle of that weight range, rather than higher than that. And I don’t have medical reasons that I have to lose weight, I’m quite healthy actually, considering I have an incurable chronic illness..
I had fasting bloods taken recently and all of the results were excellent, so of course I’m happy with that, I just wish my tummy was trimmer, and my muscles more toned … But hey, I’m a 58 year old woman, and I’ve had a child, and am post-menopausal, so a bit of a tummy isn’t a health problem, it’s just an issue to my sense of how I’d like to look!
I realise there are a great many people in the world who have far more important weight issues than I have, some are starving, others obese, and many unhealthy issues in between those extremes. My husband sometimes watches a TV program all about people who are 600 pounds, so morbidly obese, and I know if I was that weight, I’d have real problems, not a dislike of a slightly less than slim tummy I have.
