One meaning of ‘Inspiration’ is this:
The process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially to do something creative.
(from “Oxford Languages”

When a person is in fact a person who regularly does, “Creative “ things, they do well to not ignore those flashes of inspirations when they come, because they may not come again for a while, or maybe never!

As a writer, I’ve certainly benefitted from having inspiration hit me suddenly, and I’ve gone on to produce something better than anything I’ve created for a long time, or even better than I’ve ever written!

So I know how important it is to grab onto such flashes of inspiration, and use them if and when they come. Many things can help to induce such moments of inspiration, one of them is to read the writing of others, or looking at artworks. Talking to people about new and unusual things can assist the mind in doing a bit of a flip, and suddenly think of something completely different.

Any of these things may help it to happen, but sometimes it just happens, and you may have no idea why. If it happens though, make sure you’re ready to make the most of it! Write it down, or make notes about it, if you’re not able to spend much time on it, right then and there.
