Why I Love Writing Haiku and Senryu
Why? Well for starters, I just love writing poetry, in many different formats, from the short Japanese forms, to the longer forms such as Villanelle, Odes and others.
But when I have a brief thought, happening in a moment, that’s when I will look to Haiku and Senryu as the best forms to use to capture the moment and present it to others, or hold onto it for myself, to remember that particular time…
