Words Thrill My Mind, That’s Why I Love Them So Much!

I am a writer, and a reader, words have always been important in my life, as an avid book, libraries were much favoured places to visit. And I still love be a member of, and visitor to, libraries.

I borrow far more books than I read, but that doesn’t matter, having the books in my house is a comforting thing, and actually reading them isn’t the only reason I borrow them.

As a writer, I know that if I borrow books written by Australian authors, they will benefit from having people borrow their books, if those writers are joined up in the appropriate organisation, that gives out what are known as ‘Lending Rights’. So borrowing books is a useful way of rewarding writers!

I write fiction and non fiction, prose and poetry, as well as being a blogger, with a few different blogs, as well as being a member of this Medium.com super blog. But more than books, it’s the actual things that books are made of, that makes them interesting, and what I love the most. It is the words that I love!

The way our English language borrows words from many other languages, brings added interest to what is being written, and when you follow history, you can see how writers have made metaphors from historical events, that also add interest to what is written. Even song lyrics can be involved in such…
